Grilled BBQ Lamb Recipe

 

Ingredients:

  • Marinated lamb (from the marinade recipe above)
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • BBQ sauce (optional, for basting and serving)

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the lamb from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off.
  3. Lightly brush the lamb with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Place the lamb on the grill. The cooking time will vary depending on the cut and thickness of the lamb. For example:
    • Lamb chops: Grill for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
    • Leg of lamb: Grill for about 20 minutes per side, depending on thickness, for medium-rare.
    • Lamb shoulder: Grill for about 25-30 minutes per side, depending on thickness, for medium-rare.
  5. If desired, brush the lamb with BBQ sauce during the last few minutes of grilling for added flavor.
  6. Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove the lamb from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve the grilled lamb with additional BBQ sauce on the side.

Additional Tips:

  • For a smoky flavor, consider adding wood chips to your grill.
  • Always use a meat thermometer to ensure the lamb is cooked to your preferred level of doneness. For medium-rare, the internal temperature should be 145°F (63°C).
  • Let the lamb rest after grilling to allow the juices to redistribute, ensuring a tender and juicy result.
